Exploring the Côte d'Azur: Villa Kérylos and Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

Looking back at this summer's Côte d'Azur visit. A place known for its stunning coastlines and luxurious lifestyle and home to two remarkable villas that capture its essence: Villa Kérylos and Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Team Atelier l'Été came over for a shoot.

Villa Kérylos: A Greek Revival Masterpiece

Located in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Villa Kérylos is a striking tribute to ancient Greece. Built between around 1900 the villa is a modern interpretation of a Greek noble’s house. With its white marble columns, intricate mosaics, and classical furnishings, Villa Kérylos immersed us into the art and culture of ancient Greece, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. Every chair is beautifully designed and all the walls and floors are a joy to look at. A must visit to wonder around in your own dream world.

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild: Belle Époque

Just a short distance away on the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild offers a different kind of scenery. Built by the Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild, this pink palace is a showcase of her extensive art collection and love for gardening. The villa’s interior boasts eclectic styles, while its nine themed gardens, ranging from a formal French garden to an exotic Japanese one, provide breathtaking views of the Riviera. We loved the garden the most, filled with surprises and hidden gems.
